Description
A high protein diet helps maintain muscle mass, protein also yields less net energy than carbohydrates and L-carnitine helps transport fatty acids into the mitochondria for metabolism.
Neutered male cats have a tendency to gain fat mass, leading to obesity which is a major risk factor for diabetes mellitus. This formula is reduced in caloric density, with a moderate carbohydrate content.
